i do not black bridesmaids dresses so i would have the bm's in a white top with black skirt or a white dress with black sash. for the green wedding it would be pale sage dresses with pink flowers. i want pink flowers for either wedding color theme. the wedding will be at 4 and ceremony at 6. i want the bridesmaids in tea length dresses. i have been thinking now for 3 weeks and i still cannot chose. what would look better??

  1. I think black and white is not for a wedding, so I would go with anything else. The ones I've seen have looked uptight and like some cocktail party - not a wedding. Plus, it's SO over-done right now.

It also depends on what time of year you are having the wedding. For a spring wedding green and pink would be great.

  2. I am not a fan of black B/M dresses, but the way you describe a coordinated look of black & white for the B/M it sounds fine.  I would do pink or red flowers with green ivy to break up the black & white.  Do the dress (white top & black bottom.)...Tea length dresses are lovely.  Sage green is lovely too...whatever you choose, the color scheme will be fine.

  3. Black and white is so overused.  Go with the sage green and pink.  I really like that color combination.

  4. i just went to a wedding where the bridesmaids wore black dresses with wide pink sashes than hung down the length of the dress.  It was very elegant and the splash of color was awesome.  Personally, all my girls wore straight up black dresses with pearl jewelry...my husband wore an all black tux (johnny cash style)...but then we're pretty rock and roll.  It really depends on personal preference and how you like the feel for your wedding, good luck!

  5. Black and white weddings are stunning and so elegant! I even went to one where the bride wore black and the bridesmaids wore white. You could do black and white and incorporate both the sage and the pink into your theme with your flowers and decor. My colours are black, white and champagne. My dress is champagne and my girls are wearing black. My flowergirl and my baby daughter will wear white dresses with black sashes. We are having champagne roses and my bridal bouquet will be black roses.

  6. I would go with black and white.

It will look more classy in my opinion. If you don't want your maids in black , choose a different color entirely, maybe berry red. They do not have to match all your decor. My attendants are wearing Vitorian Lilac and my colors are ivory and antique gold. Their dresses are the only thing that color.

I just went to a wedding that was sage and pink and it looked very "little girly".

Black and white is really classy...that is my vote.

  7. Either color scheme would be lovely.  I was really impressed with the simplicity of the first black and white wedding I attended.  However, with the sage and pink you'd have the option of adding a third color.  I think what I'd do is consider the skin and hair tones of the bridesmaids and then chose the color scheme.  Not everyone looks good with white near their face, and the same goes for black.  If you do the black and white, you could still use the pink flowers.

  8. Either sounds nice.  I think that the B/W is more classy and elegant and the S/P more frilly and sweet so it would depend on the "mood" you're going for.  Id be cautious though with the B/W if you don't want your bridesmaids in black.  If they're in white they may not only be "competing" with the bride, but it might just be too much white.

  9. Sage. with bright pink & yellow flowers

find someone to do an "airy" dainty spray bouquet

for the ceremony................it would be sooo awesome

    if it's fall

do peach and yellow or gold

    if its holiday christmas

    red and yellow

    SAGE

    go for it

  10. Personally I would go with Black, White & Pink. But that's only because I don't like green.

I've seen pictures of Black & White themed weddings and I think it looks so glassy & elegant, and I think a few splashes of hot pink would make it look just amazing!

I would also perhaps consider having ivory instead of white? Just an idea.

I'm sure whatever you pick it will look just stunning!

    Best of luck!

  11. I think Black/White is so elegant! And highlights of pink in the

    flowers would be beautiful!

    I vote for B/W!

  12. If I see one more B/W wedding party I'll scream...  Be a little daring and do something a bit different.  I did see a cream and brown wedding party and thought that was just so much more classic and softer then the black and white.  The girls dresses were tea length soft cream, the sash was brown.  The groomsmen wore brown tux's, cream cumberbuns.  The bride, oh the bride, wore an off-white dress and had the most beautiful flowers - pink, cream, greens.  Gorgeous and so much softer then the B/W that EVERYONE is doing now.  Good luck and congrats.

  13. PLEASE go with sage and pink - it would look lovely.
