it be a reason not to get it?

Do you have one of these Cameras? Which do you prefer - based on quality and usability, not just name?

  1. Go Cannon or Nikon, sony is just a toy. The image quality depends most of the lens quality and the best lens manufactures are Cannon and Nikon. Sony uses minolta lens, not bad but not that Good

  2. Definitely the Canon. Sony is very new to the dSLR (and general camera) world, which means they're not as experienced with manufacturing cameras as Canon or Nikon. Canon and Nikon cameras have a wide variety of lenses made with good glass for you to choose from. Both have been in the dSLR market for quite a while, and both have been making SLRs for decades.

As for ISO? I have an XT, and I'm pretty happy with the noise levels at higher ISOs. It's noticeable, yes, but not painful. (If you want examples, send me a note and I'll link you some taken at higher ISOs.)

  3. sounds super duper
