I am developing a new website - what would be the best ways to promote to get traffic, without using CPC?

It is a Health and Fitness website (eg. including 12 Most Effective Ab Exercises, nutrition artcles etc..)

I need something that has high exposure, because all the stuff on my site is free to access ..

I would appreciate any help ..

  1. You want a spurt of web traffic??? Set up a stumbleupon account and... add friends and then submit your sites articles each week... remember to stumble other people's site as well!

    Other than that.. there are alot of guides on  how to optimize your site... do some keyword research first and pick non-competitive ones.. and optimize your pages on those keywords

  2. How about a catchy (funny) YouTube video or a Facebook group or an amusing 10-things list that you try to get promoted on Facebook.

    They thing is, If you're providing free content on your site and it's what people will want and it's really good and you've optimised your pages okay then you shouldn't need to do that much - the content should promote itself.

    But it all takes time.

    CPC is the only way to take short cuts...

    There are a lot of ways to get exposure & targeted traffic to your site. And that will depends on your budget.

    If you need something that will have long term effect for your SEO and also traffic solution, you should do article marketing.
