  1. You might want to look into "medical coding".

  2. You could become a graphic designer or web designer...you may need some training or school, but it is both challenging and a good creative outlet.

  3. there are so many scams out there be careful... try selling stuff for people on ebay and taking 10%

    or cragslist.

learn a really useful skill, like editing or photoshop, you can retouch peoples movies and pictures...

dont do any survey sites, they are mostly scams, as are data entry, and ANYTHING FROM NIGERIA!!! but i hope you knew that

    =)

try to look on craigslist and see what there is a huge need for, then learn it! you can do anything online....

good luck and make tons of money!!!

  4. Please beware that almost all of those work-at-home 'jobs' are a scam especially if asking for money upfront or for personal information which can put one at risk for identity theft:  http://www.ftc.gov and can click 'identity theft' or such.

Please note that there are not too many opportunities for the medical transcriptionist or coder to work from home despite what those ads say or the private $$ career schools proclaim :)  The medical coder usually needs a couple years experience doing coding tasks as well as certification(s) and training from an accredited program to possible get a coding job.

I'm not sure if any non-profit organizations have any part-time jobs that one can do from home, but that may be a safer option.

  5. I processed medical claims from home for a big medical insurance company  for a few years..you might want to look into that.

  6. Disabled? Minimal hours? Challenging?

Perhaps you could look into removing staples from documents or sharpening pencils?

  7. why not train as a bookkeeper, i'm disabled and studied at my local college, i have'nt looked back, and why not pop in to your local citizens Advice Bureau to find out about the benefis you can get, ie help with driving lessons, and if you decide to go to work for an employer, money for new clothes, interviews etc. Good luck

  8. Do you need to work or want to work. I think it's great that you do want to work but I am not sure what kind of work you can do from home unless you were an artist or a translator... You must get disability money. If you just want to challenge your mind, you can look up on google different IQ tests.. and also try www.mensa.com which is an IQ test you really have to take in person by going there but there must be an idea or even a small mensa test on that site.. only people who have an IQ of 135 or higher get accepted as members but everybody can take the test...and there are other quizzes ...etc which you can find through google which will challenge your mind or you  can always learn another language.. via audiotape and by learning the vocabulary and then trying to read simple text, the audio tapes will help you to get familiar with the pronounciation and the vocabulary is necessary to be able to know enough words to speak another language.. If you are creative... do some painting or some creative cardmaking with coloured paper and feathers, pearls, etc....or if you are good at needlepoint work. There are nice things you can do as well.. if you were really artistic in that field.. maybe you could sell from home, things which you create yourself...Or make fashion jewellery yourself.. Creativity is also a challenge to the mind. Do crosswords, read about other countries, all of that will give you a wider knowledge in a lot of different areas..Don't ever fall for any home jobs where they tell you that first you have to buy certain things.. and then you get started to do a job.. that is all illegal fraud stuff you waste your own money and then you probably get to fold pages of advertising and stuff them into 2000 envelopes per day.. and how would that improve your mind?

There are a lot of ways how you can challenge your mind though if you don't need to work. Just for your own benefit. You can also order books online and learn about a certain subject.. do jigsaw puzzles, paint on wood or paint on canvas, think of a story.. and try to write one... even if it's a story for children... you might have talent..then create a couple... if you can illustrate them. I know all of them are more hobbies.. but definitely a lot that will challenge your mind..xx

  9. another job that can be done from home is a travel agent--

avaya is a big work from home company--but I don't know what kind of work it is

  10. It might require some training or schooling, but some work-from-home jobs are having a call center set up at your home, or becoming a medical transcriptionist.  To do that, you have to have a knowledge of medical terminology and be able to type pretty well.  If you go to MSN careers or sometimes Craigslist, Snag a Job.com, they will have listing for those jobs and the requirements.  Good luck!
