  1. Look at this picture of Gabrielle Reece for motivation.

  2. Camps are more of a learing experience and they should teach a lot you dont know so dont expect it to be harsh.

  3. I used to run YMCA camps.  Relax and have fun.  I did not care if you were tall or short or pretty or not.  All I wanted was the players that wanted to learn and were willing to try what I told them.  I was there to teach volleyball and I wanted people that were there to learn.  I am a very good teacher when I have players that want to learn and are willing to try.

Do not use the phrase "my last coach told me to do it this way."  Do it the way the camp instructors teach it.  If they correct you, you need to use "thank you, I will work on that" and mean it.

The bottom lines is that YMCA camps are 1 part instruction and 1 part fun.  Relax and have fun.

  4. dont worry about it! being pretty doesn't really matter.

just be ready for hard workouts and try your best. im sure everyone else will be kinda nervous and im sure you will make friends!

most of the people probably wont know eachother

  5. get ready to run!!!

if you are not use to hard workouts and exercise you are about to enter a world of pain!!

    (i am so not joking)

  6. Are you teaching the camp or going to it?

If you're going, just have fun. I used to go to them all the time and I a got so much better and had a blast.

If you're teaching it, don't worry. The kids are more nervous than you are and if you aren't mean, they will totally love you.
