Finding a new gasket kit has been nearly impossible for this model, so we'll need to reuse all the old o-rings and gaskets. We have it all apart, and we carefully fished out all the items (as well as all plastics) so we could soak the carburetor parts in carb cleaner. They seem to be well warn, but none are broken. How is the best way to clean and rejuvinate these parts? Would we be better off making our own gasket for stretched out ones?

  1. yeah carb cleaner or anything that is  non corrosive like kerosene, but if your worried about the condition of the o-rings warm soapy water may even be a better option.

  2. well nearly impossible isnt going to cut it you need all new gaskets and orings otherwise there is no point

  3. I'd try to find replacements at a gasket supply.  I've bought O-rings that way, before.

  4. make your own gasket
