  2. Talk to an insurance agent in your area that actually sells it.  They may or may not spend time with you since there is probably no financial gain for them out of it.

    Also check out Wikipedia.  For the most part though, ULIPs are essentially the same from company to company (there are small differences generally between them).

    If you want to do a true comparison, compare ULIPs with VLIPs, ROP, and straight Term.
