  1. You could talk about:

    Exercise in the sport

    Olympians and Olympics

ISI or USFSA clubs in your area

    (follwow the links)

the costumes-for the girls, guys maybe too.

take a look at the websites, and you can go off of there

you could even get a video and tell your friends wat the skater is doing and impress them.

You could also talk about the levels. I know they are listed on the USFSA site, but I am not sure about the ISI site.

    Good luck!

  2. many people think that anyone can icesk8 but it really takes A LOT of training

  3. Hmmm....  How about doing a presentation on:

    ~ a specific skater?

~ the different levels in skating (USFSA, ISIA, Canadian, etc),

and adult track vs. standard track?

    ~ the differences between jumps?

~ the differences between spins (and their variations)?

~ the differences between singles freestyle, pairs, ice dance and synchro (and moves in the field)?

~ the history of skating and the origins of competitive skating?

~ the typical day of a high-level competitive skater?

~ why skating is so expensive?

~ basics of skating common to figure, hockey and speed skating?

~ recreational vs. more professional skates, how they're made, what they're made out of and their components?

    Good luck!! :)
