  1. maybee you can try dancing and playing the music.Let them go out and draw the sky

  2. If you are doing the workshop, shouldn't you figure it out for yourself?

  3. I have worked for 3 years as a Teacher's Aide to Pre-school children.  A great activity is one that works on their manual dexterity.  Using manipulatives creates better eye/hand coordination and instills a great amount of self esteem in the child.  Start with something minor like having the child/children place hand-sized blocks in a bucket only to take them out again one at a time.  Move on after a few days to smaller items.  Finally the child can begin using plastic tweezers to move dried beans into egg cartons.  Placing the beans one in each egg cell and taking them out again putting them in the original container.  Later you can mark the cells in numbers 1, 2, 3, etc.  The child will then have to place the appropriate amount of beans in the cell. Good luck.

  4. I agree with the first answer... a bit more information would let us help you better.

Craft projects are always good. Something that's pre-cut and they just have to follow simple steps (product art). Or give them some materials (glitter, stickers, buttons, pieces of paper, etc) and let them create their own work of art (process art).

Music activities are always fun. Jim Gill has great songs that are easy to put movements to. The Wiggles are always popular with the preschool age.

Try some of these websites for preschool craft and music ideas...

  5. That is great! Ummmm..... i have worked with kids before and have done alot of crafts with them. Crafts should be easy enough for them to hadle. Try some of these pages, i used to get some of my ideas from there. Hope they help. Good luck!

  6. It would help to know what the child's special needs are, and also what you want to achieve. Do you want to just have fun, or do you also want to improve coordination, or enhance concentration? Make a list of what you want to accomplish with various activities. Then it would be easier to make up activities to match.
