I am doing an apprenticeship and getting £80 p/w, can I get EMA aswell?

The £30 ema would pay for my travel each week :|

Or can I get my travel paid?

I'm doing a kent success apprenticeship with the council.

  2. Is it to do with school, cause I am guessing it is, then you will get the EMA.

  3. The only criteria for EMA is that:

    You are under 19

    You study for more that 15 hours per week

    You have an annual household income of less than 20k per year

    if you are on an apprenticeship course, i doubt your hours are high enough to be eligible, if they are and you (or your parents) don't earn more than 20k per year. it is worth a try.

    Other than EMA there is usually no extra support available for travel as you took the job and the college place knowing what your travel costs would be.
