I am doing medical transcription.pls help me.

Question

i am quiet slow in typing. like say 38 wpm.i would like to know what tips and tricks there are to overcome this problem.i have heard there is a software for this.

it is fair typing  speed  i think u did not appear any typing test if u found 38 wpm fairly speed   it is very good.  u are quite right  there is software of computer software  u can purchase any place yet  particular place is Nehru place Delhi

Wow, most places require you type at least 60 wpm to do transcription, so you pretty much need to double your speed.

Try buying 'Mavis Beacon' software. I believe it's the best. You can probably buy it online or places like Wal-Mart should have it as well.

Work on it a LOT, or you need to switch careers if you can't speed it up. I do transcription and type around 105 wpm (crazy, huh!? ;) ), and it helps to get paid more as well! Good luck!

your typing speed is fine ,but you gotta go slow in the beginning so that u get the hang of the application u r usin,and on a latter part ur speed would gradually increase on each case u handle,also have patients do copy pasting that would help u
