  1. my first question would be:

    ARE YOU PREGNANT?

  2. Take a baby out of the equation, and look at labor as a woman's deepest, most important, most intense work.  What are you trying to give birth to?  Where are you stuck in your life's best and most important work?  Look at those questions, and see what you come up with.  What's also true is that sometimes these particular dreams are a woman's way of working out the fears associated w/ death and dying or in some way not being able to deal with, to get through, and to progress through the actual labor experience, sometimes even life itself or other large creative acts.  Ultimately, you will need to see where my words/interpretations fit for you, or don't.  You don't state your age, but is it possible your subconscious WANTS to get pregnant and go thru childbirth/child rearing???  If you're really young, babe, believe me:  You've got time!

Regarding SkepDoc's post:  If this shite from you is in any way indicative of your "bedside manner", and especially that with women, you should hang it up as a "doctor" NOW.  You suck.  PLEASE LEAVE THE PROFESSION.  And yes, I'm SURE I'll get reported for this.  Lah dee dah.

  3. Ok.  so you've had a dream that seemed very real.  I've had dreams where I flew that also seemed very real.

    You have made a statement.

What is your actual question about the statement?

EDIT:  Calyx...it still isn't a question, just a statement with a question mark. I'm sorry you don't understand English grammar.   I'm not concerned if I'm not touchy feely enough for you, and don't have psychic powers.  My response to her statement is neither rude or callous, it is seeking clarification..  Also, this isn't a bedside, it is a text based open forum where  subtleties of inflection and tone can be easily misinterpreted by those who choose to.

You are overreacting, and using too many capital letters for EMPHASIS.  Also, I never report people just because they get upset at me or disagree with my answers.  I also never sink to the level of ad hominem attacks.

Get over yourself and your Redbook pop psychology advice.

  4. only because that's your biggest fear, being in labor and not having the baby.(mostly cause dreams are your surpresed fears and fantasies) and if you physically feel the pains it's probably minor caucotion. that only means your not far off to give birth.
