  1. yes,..

  2. definalty.. if you look up any websites about diets they will tel you to drink more water with your meals instead of fizzy drinks because fizzy drinks make u put on weight while water helps to detox ur body

  3. Probably not.  You need to cut out ALL bad drinks.  Stick to water, tea, and coffee (no sugar).  To ween yourself off these terrible (sugar = fat) drinks, Begin to drink orange juice and slowly dilute it with water.  But fruit juice isn't' the answer either.  Fruit juice is crammed with hidden sugars and can be just as bad as soda, so read the nutrition label carefully or juice yourself.

  4. Yes.  Drinking water and cutting out pop is a great way to lose weight.   You will probably lose MORE than 5 lbs. if you are faithful.                Don't just drink Ice Water, warm water helps to remove toxins faster than ice water.    Ice Water speed up metabolism.   Good Luck!

  5. You will certainly be healthier not eating refined sugar products like you mention.

A lot of your digestive metabolism is to do with the right balance of nutrients you take in to produce the enzymes you need to effictively break food down etc.

The other thing to consider is the energy you take in and the energy you use. This is very individual but your body lets you know when it is time to eat when it is time to stop you have to learn to listen to your body and distinguish between hunger and craving for your fix of favourite brand of sugar and e-numbers.

Eat lots of fruit and cereal these foods are generally good for all peoples dietry requirements. If you are exercising potassium is very useful for your muscles and can be found in bananas as an example. You often see tennis players eating them good energy and helps prevent muscle cramps.

The subject is vast and can be as simple or as complex as you want to to take it. I would say forget the word diet it has stigma associated with it and think:

    Balanced eating habits.

  6. That's a really good start. Also try smaller portions of your favorite food. (fill up a small plate) Your eyes will signal your brain to make it look like it is a large plate of food and you will be full faster! Drinking water does many great things for your body, try not to go over 64 ounces a day though. You'll will drop those pounds just from dropping the things you've dropped (soda...) if it's habitual for you! Good luck!!!

  7. yes you should lose 5 pounds or even more. I have quit soday 2 months ago and have lost 6 pounds now. It wont happen over night. I have also quit eating anything past 7p at night which is also helping.

Expect headaches at first but don't give up. I drank like 4 cans of Diet coke a day or more when I quit. But just stick to it.

  8. this will absolutely help....it may take a few weeks to shed 5 pounds if you are not including exercise...but yes, lowering caloric beverages/sweets is a sure way of doing it. another way is to calculate your calorie intake needed to lose 5 pounds based on your age, height, weight, body frame. google it and then you'll be counting calories, but yea, it works. i lost 70 lbs from counting food calories and subtracting calories burned in working out. :)

example: my resting metabolic rate allows me to burn -700 calories a day (should i just sit in bed and do nothing). then to that number, i added the calories of food i ate (let's say 1200).

    -700 + 1200 = 500

so, i tried to burn at least half that every day at the gym (jogging lightly on the eliptical for 25 mins burns a little over 250 calories).

500 - 250 = 250.....meaning my body only consumed an extra 250 calories a day, everything else was essentially burned off for energy. ;) it works!

  9. Of Coarse it will  Pop dose not have any nutritional value at all.

  10. YES! Especially if you drank a lot of soda before. Cutting out sugar is a really effective way to lose weight quickly... I bet you'll start to reallt notice in a couple weeks.

  11. It certainly will help some unless you are eating fast food and fries all the time.  Eat healthy and excercise and you will be able to loose 5 pounds and still drink soda

  12. i stopped drink soda and eating fast food and i lost 15 lbs..... so ya you can loose 5 lbs by not drinking soda, especially if you drank it every day.

  13. It will help. excercise will help more! And eat a bit less at every meal (about 10%)

Be patient - it will take a couple of weeks before the trend reverses.

It also depends on your starting weight.

  14. Cutting out the sugars that comes in soda, cookies and sweets will definitely help but if your favorite foods are fast food like burgers, fries, pizza, fried chicken, it will help even more if you cut down on your intake of these foods as well.  Eat them in moderation....like only a few times a month.  Not a few times a week!   You may feel a little lazy without the daily sugar rush but once your body starts to function more efficiently without the added sugars that it has to process, you'll be feeling much better and healthier.  Adding some simple exercise routines to your day will help with the weight loss even quicker.  Try some low-impact exercises like jumping jacks or even jumping rope at home to get your heart pumping for 30 minutes.

  15. Definitely.  It will not only help you lose 5 lbs., it will make you healthier too because you are cutting out on High Fructose Corn Syrup from these stuff.  In laboratory rats, those ingesting high fructose corn syrup didn't reach maturity.  HFCS is bad news, raises your triglycerides, raises your cholesterol.  try to refrain from drinking your water during and immediately after eating.  You can drink your water about 30 minutes after your last bite.  Reason is so that you can digest your food more effectively.  The water will dilute your stomach acids and not properly digested food will not help you with your absorption of the nutrients from the food you ate which can result in allergies, bloating....

  16. Yes, you will but it might take a minute to get that bad stuff out of your system.

  17. I think it will, over time and depending on how much you used to consume before. also make sure that you are not eating more to replace what you cut out

  18. I believe it will.  If you drank one soda a day it equals 15 lbs a year.  Good luck... You can do it..
