  1. Hi, I live in Galicia, very near to where you are going.I have made the same journey many times. I have found the following route to be the best.

From Santander take the N634(E70)To La Coruna, travelling through Oviedo.(This is a good place to stop for a meal Etc.)Just prior to La Coruna, Pick up the Motorway A9(E1)To Pontevedra. At Pontevedra North get off the motorway and follow the signs to Sanxenxo and O Grove.

The only place you pay a toll is on the A9, you will have to do this 3 times, but the total cost is about 10 Euros. the journey time is around 7/8 hours depending on stops.

If you would like any further information please mail me direct, I hope this is of some help and have a good journey, Galicia is Beautiful.

  2. The main roads are good these days you may find some roads that wind through the mountains a bit more hard going.

Mornings in Galicia can be a bit wet and misty.

They will calculate your bets route, toll fees and petrol consumption.

    Good luck.
