  1. I was diagnosed with Hep C in 95.  I went through three separate rounds of Interferon.  I have been in remission for 8 yrs now.  What helped me the most with the side effects was taking Theraflu before I gave myself an injection and always took it at night.  I worked in a hospital and saw many people who had no reactions at all.  Make sure you talk to your Doc if you start to feel depressed---that can be a side effect.  But hang in there---its not forever!  btw---my treatments lasted a year each so I'm sure you'll be fine.  Also, you're immunity becomes low so I used to take immunity boosters.

  2. I can't advise you but i wanted to tell you that it cured my aunt & she is fit & healthy now. Good luck for the future :)

  3. I haven't heard of this treatment before.

my grandfather had hep C, and he was a great believer of alternative medicine. He'd read somewhere that the indian fruit  Amla (gooseberry) is very beneficial. and so he started takeing 2 tea spoons of preserved amla, which was made into a paste in a food processor with every meal.

after less than a year, he had another appointment and the docs were surprised, as we all were..his hep C disappeared!!

Also read up on colloidal silver (not alternative medicine!!!)

    hope u get better soon

  4. OK here we go, you are just about to go through a life changing experience and it will take every ounce and reserve of strength in you to deal with the curative effect of the drugs as well as the NHS, docs, medical appointments and the complete upheaval in your life. You'll feel sick, hot, fatigued, put on weight, suffer lethargy, mood swings, have to deal with eejits in every walk of your life (includes friends and family). Get prepared to work part-time or not at all, Your hair may thin or fall out completely. You may develop an underactive thyroid problem - common but they don't mention it.You'll certainly find out who your friends are. You absolutely must take care of yourself and any little help you can get otherwise accept it gratefully. If you don't have a small hobby(non-active) take one up now eg letter writing, reading, drawing, Don't overdo it when you think you have a little reserves. Don't expect friends to be understanding, they can disappear like smoke. Prepare your paperwork eg. medical, rent, DWP, C/tax etc.its easy to get overwhelmed quickly especially if you find yourself unable to work for any length of time.Keep on top of appointments. No bevies, no late nights. Take it real easy. Assuming all goes well then you'll need to be prepared for treatment and recovery/rest/respite over 2 years. Good Luck.

  5. Drink lots of water - that will help with the side effects. Take your current weight divide by 2 and then change lbs to ounces, that should be about how much pure water (not juice, coffee, coke, energy drinks, etc...) you should drink a day. Stay away from caffeine - it will make your side effects worse.

Start getting into shape light aerobics and weights this will keep your endorphins up. Hopefully, you don't have arthritis because the treatment can inflame it.

You may need a anti-depressant about two months in...the drugs seem to affect people differently, but depression seems like it affects everyone.

Colliodal Silver is BS...it won't help you.  I did the treatment for 48 weeks in 2004 and experimented with everything. There are a few vitamins you can take to make you feel better. I am still a Sustained Viral Responder.
