I have been at my current assignment for over a year. It is an assignment in which the pay is aberrationally more than usual. It will end at the end of the month. Can I get unemployment if the temporary service is unable to get me another assignment paying the same hourly amount?

  1. Depends on how the agency paid you. Were you paid as an independant contractor or were you paid as an employee? Each state determines this according to their own state's laws. The only way to know is to file for unemployment -- or at least call the unemployment office in your area for info.

  2. Generally, employment services do not guarantee you work.  You are an independent contractor, and I very much doubt you can get unemployment compensation.

  3. Nope.
