I am ethopian citizen wanting to travel mexico as tourist?

i ethopian working daallo airlines and want to travel to mexico as tourist for 30days but when i searched some information from the net i found that so many eriterians with ethopian passport has entered mexico in order to cross mexico usa border and that make me feel very bad i just wana to know if mexican immigration will feel that i am going to enter mexico because usa and wat are the requirements that mexican immigration will need from me to i have my passport my driver licence my cheque book work ID? i have also contacted mexico consulates in addis ababa and nairobi and they give the green light. can any help me what are the requirements that mexican immigration need from me?

If the Mexican consulate said you are fine to go in, then you should be fine with just your passport. You will probably also need to show proof of a plane ticket returning to Ethiopia, and they will want to know where you will be staying in Mexico (e.g., the name of the hotel). If you are walking across the border from the U.S., you can get a tourist visa at the immigration checkpoint just after crossing. If you fly in, you will get the visa when you go through immigration after landing in Mexico.

The problem with the Eritreans was that they probably entered Mexico from Guatemala with the intention of illegally entering the United States and likely did not get an FMT tourist visit when crossing the border. That's a whole different situation.

At any rate, the information you got from the Mexican embassy should be much more reliable than any informaton you get on Yahoo Answers!

If you address all the inmigration requirements, you may not have any problem at all.

Inmigration Officers at the Airports tend to be nicer / friendly than those working in the boarder with Guatemala and USA. Nevertheless, please note that since 9-11 attacks security had been increased at the airports so maybe the officers may ask you some questions about your country of origin, itinerary in Mexico, etc etc...but it just will be a 10 minute interview.

If you face any problem at your arrival or during your staying in the country, maybe you may want to call the Ethipia Consulate in Mexico City, I bet they will do anything to help you.
