The event runs for three days and I need to insure my artwork for those three days. Normally its not a big deal for me to insure work but there are jillions of people coming through here and I don't want them pilfering my figurines that are part of this artwork, or damaging the overall pieces. what company can I reach out to for this kind of insurance?

  1. Any agent that offers commercial insurance.

  2. I would ask the event organizer.  Sometimes they have a special coverage for putting on short term events.  Sometimes the facility where you hold the event has a special coverage in their liability

clause.  After that seek insurance from a commercial company.

    Good luck.

  3. You can't write it directly - but I'm not sure you're going to be happy with any quotes you get.

First of all, there's the valuation issue.  How much does your artwork sell for?  If you don't sell much, the insurance company isn't going to insure your stuff for much.

Then, there's the mysterious disappearance issue.  If the stuff isn't secured, and just "walks away", well, the insurance company isn't going to want to take that risk.

Then, there's the deductible issue - likely, they'll want a $1,000 deductible.  Even so, they're likely to call 5 pilferings, five different claims.    Accidental bumping & dropping of fragile things, again, isn't going to be covered.

Minimum premium for this - regardless of the length of time - is going to be $1,000 for an inland marine policy (which is the type of property policy you're looking for - covering your "stuff", in transit, and at temporary locations).

Anyway, if you still want it, you need to talk to a local, independent agent who can quote this out for you. They'll give you terms and conditions, after you give them detailed information about what kind of protections you will have in place for your property.  Likely, no protections, will mean no offer of coverage, though.

  4. YOu are not the only one,I have met this type of  problem before.I have good experience here to solve the problem though.http://insurance.online-frees.info/insur...
