  1. Without a doubt I agree wholeheartedly with your statement.

  2. It totally depends on how you define vulgarity.

I find the worship of celebrities pretty vulgar, and I find the gap between rich and poor in so-called developed nations vulgar, but if you are talking about s*x and the like, well, no, not really.

  3. the media isn't a reflection of society that is c**p..it is a reflection of what it thinks society wants...honestly have you ever watched tv how often do things on tv actually happen in reality?  Any way I totally agree with you, but too many people continue to pay for and watch and buy into all the c**p media is offering so it's not going to stop!

  4. count me in.  You can't get away from it.  I've turned on shows that I thought would be ok to watch with younger kids, and was shocked when they turned out to be very vulgar.

  5. I cannot stand the TV programmes that have so much swearing. It does not enhance the programme. There are so many good programmes on that have no swearing that one wonders why others fight tooth and nail to put as much as possible in. Now because there is so much of it in films etc so many people consider it to be acceptable behaviour when it isn't. It is to me totally objectionable.

  6. must do something-even a little bit for betterment.(help a friend with your philosophy and convince him to come to reason-if all do it we could have a better social one day! Go back to YAHOO Q&A for more at humanity if you wish- the only forum in the world where not only great talks at humanity are allowed but the means to reach something positive for it ( and no need to buy 10,000 dollar ticket for advice!)

  7. who cares

live your own life and ignore everything around you that you dont like

failing that live in a bubble

  8. I choose to live in a bubble with my friends and family

    (not literally)

I watch what I want to and am happy with it

    x*x

  9. Most people do but they just put up with it as the way of the World. The last person to object was Mrs. Whitehouse and she was derided and laughed at. Want to carry on in her tradition? Start a Listeners and Viewers Association.

  10. Just ignore the media, like I do. It's your life, not theirs; don't let them program your mind.

  11. well, the media is a reflection of society....

  12. me too, it unbelievable,

does anybody have any self-respect for themselves?

  13. me

  14. Use the "off" button.

  15. Who feels the same way?  An Ostrich does.

  16. agreed. well, nothing can be done. the world is now living materially and commercially above anything else. if vulgarity sells, then it's the one written over and over again.

  17. I agree. That is why I rarely watch tv anymore. And guess what. I don't live in a bubble! I still know what is going on in the world via internet.

  18. You seem to have a word issue.  Words are just means of communication...it is the intent behind them that should be of concern, not which is chosen and used to express.

Language is a colorful art...it's beauty in the ears, eyes, and fingers of the be-holders...and to each their own perspective...

...Censorship being a tool of control by those with personal issues such as yours.

I agree that there are wiser words to be chosen of and used to converse, but to not gain from information because of the way it is presented reflects unwise focus...who loses the most in such a scenario???

    Good Journey!!!
