I have had a well managed anxiety disorder, and have not taken anti depressants for years. Lately I have been getting emotional easily, I can't concentrate on my studies, I am not sleeping properly and overreacting to certain situations.

I am currently studying, and finish in November. Anti-depressants are not an option, as I can not deal with the side effects while trying to study, work and maintain personal relationships. I plan on going on these after I finish studying, but what can I do in the meantime?? I feel helpless.

  3. You may want to talk to your doctor and get something very mild to help you relax and fall asleep at night. If you're not getting enough sleep, that alone can cause you not to deal well with all of the stress you have going on in your life at the moment.

Or you could try using something over the counter, like Tylenol PM.

Best of luck. Remember, "This, too shall pass"
