I fell in love with my best friend and we've been together now going on four years. it was the most terrifying and thrilling time of my life when it all started. I wondered if she felt the same, possible outcomes, etc. I took a chance and it paid off.

An interesting question.  Two of my friends are in the same... errr, boat as you.

Falling in love with your best friend is probably common, since they're the person that you most relate to and spend time with.  Your best friend is willing to do a lot for you, and you for them.  You see, my friend is a girl, and she's really madly in love with her best friend(also a girl).  She's always clinging and touching, or saying how much she loves the other, but her friend just ignores it and laughs it off.

Don't be creeped out, accept it and be comfortable with what you have.  Whether you tell her or not is your decision, just think it over carefully before you say something, my friend.  If you love her so much, you may be alternate.  You should explore it a bit.

well everyone's perception of normal is different. but i would say it is. this would make you a L*****n and if you feel right about your feelings then i guess it's fine.

No dear, it is not, if by "normal" you mean "what everyone else is". You are what they call a L*****n. 2 to 5 percent of women are lesbians, depending on who you ask. Another 2 to 10 percent are bisexual, again depending on who you ask) and the rest (85 - 96 percent) are sexually attracted to men.

In the same way, redheads not normal; only 8 percent of the people with European heritage are redheads. They get along just fine, though, most of them. So do lesbians. If your best friend isn't also a L*****n, you are going to have problems.

If you Google "L*****n", the first 400,000 sites you get will be p**n. Men like to watch naked women cavort with each other, oddly enough. Go to Wikipedia or a large women's health site and search within it if you are interested.
