  1. no there is not, you can ask your school for a workers permit though, like my sister did and she started working when she was 15 and we live in VA too!


  2. I live in Virginia as well, Petersburg, Va. And as far as I know, you must have a work permit to work in an actual business. You can babysit, dog walk, wash cars, mow lawns, etc. as a job, but nothing that is a business.

    It might also help if you called the county office building in Springfield and ask if they can issue you a permit. If not, then probably you won't be working this summer.

  3. call your local labor board, they will help you.
