First you have to apply for the original immigration application. After that has been accepted, you will use the case number from it to apply for the K3/K2 visas. You will be able to add minor children to your orginal application without being forced to pay for each of them individually! Big money saver! But I warn you.. I've been waiting for my husband for 16 months now and even though he has had his interview and accepted to this point, the final background check can take 2 weeks to several YEARS! If there is any way to apply for a visitors visa, I suggest you get on american soil before you apply for ANYTHING!

When filing this type visa it will take a much longer time..it's best if your boyfriend or spouse files for you.. if married it is much easier... here is a site that might help you
