  1. ur not that tall but not short either-id say yor only about 10cm off other players- but u should be fine- its the skills that count

  2. Yes.

  3. Yes, You need to be at least over 6 foot which is where my brother is but he is fat but loosing the weight. lol.

  4. Yep. Too small.

As much chance of getting a game with an AFL team as a snowball in h**l!

  5. Mate you just need to have a brass set of balls on you and you'll be fine

  6. You'd need to very good in every other facet of the game, although people like Tony Liberatore spring to mind

  7. oh work out do u oh soz i dont think you are well av you cheaked in afl books to c if there is a certain height you need to be or cheaked da net cuz i doubt like peeps say basketball players need to be tall and slim but some arnt and for rugby you need to be big 2 play forward but you dont as long as you are strong. for tennis you need to be light on your feet but you dont av to be. if you get my point all that you need is skill then you will get where you wanna be lol if you were a girl you could just wear high heels but ur not. one last thing just wear trainers that have high soels or sumfin gud luck.

  8. No, not necessarily the game these days is changing from a taller persons game to a speedy midfielders game. take a player like Jake King for Richmond, he's 174cm tall and playen like a absolute gun. he has speed, skills and persistence. and if u have that then i can't see why u shouldn't have a crack at it.

  9. nah, did you hear about that little dude playing in the VFL. hes like 154cm and hes so good. it dsnt matter what height you are. your kinda like Dale Thomas. hes short but has awesome ball skills.

  10. You probably haven't finished growing yet. You could have a late growth spurt.

What you need to do is work hard on your strength both upper body and your legs. Become a nugget like Buchanan from the swans. plus the other important thing is be brave. Don't be afraid to get your head over the ball or get thrown around like a rag doll. You will get rewarded with free kicks and your skill will speak for itself.

    Good luck buddy.

  11. Have no thought of how big ya are mate look at Liberatore. He's a tough lil nut. Im 5"10, 20 years old and still playing footy. People said, 'Oh you'd get bumped around a bit wouldn't ya?' I just say if they can hit ya hard, you can hit em harder. Another good modern example is Peter Bell, Daniel Pearce and what's his name from the kangaroos. Keep workin out hard and get on the protein shakes to build your muscle cause lil c!nts can gain quickly. G'luck hope it helps

  12. Borderline but if you can run, jump, kick have lightning reflexes, kick goals from 50 metres mark ball over packs  able to handle the roughness and toughness of Aussie rules  you should still be able to make it and also you still might grow a few more inches. I would say a lot of the aboriginal footballers would be of not a great height but they are some of the best if you have the talent you can make it

  13. hey

well to make afl footballer with that height you dont need to be quiet good at your skills you need to be great and hit the tagret everytime. you need to jump and take good marks and kick perfect. you still could get picked being that tall. just need the skills to be an on baller or a flank or pocket.

  14. you have plenty of growing to do yet mate, another 5-7 years of height to come, plenty of time to build up too, good luck with it all.

  15. Just because you're below the average height for your age DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CANT TRY OUT!!!

In sports like basketball, it might make a difference if you're five foot or or 7 foot, but this isnt basketball.

You do have shorter legs, but if you can run fast then I dont see why you cant!!!

Dont let your height make you think that you cant accomplish things that other boys your age can.

GO OU THERE AND TRY OUT FOR THE TEAM!!!

  16. I don't know how tall he is but think of Brent Harvey(Kangaroos). He's one of the smallest players in the A.F.L yet he was the runner up for the brownlow!!!

  17. I think its a pretty good height, but i still recommend to stretch each day.  to be a footballer, you still need to be a little taller to stretch over your opponent.  keep up!  try lots, and play hard.
