I really don't feel like standing in line for one only to be told to go to the other (like DMV!). I have traveled international before, but never thru another US Airport..Any help is appreciated!

  1. Hi,

You want International for sure. I just returned from Cancun. Make sure you have your Passport in order the folks with Homeland security really take this travel thing to another level. Once you arrive at Cancun you'll go through Mexican Customs not problem, however, your return will not be so easy. Your first return city will be the US Customs that means everyone will go through and it's a real mess make sure you have plenty of time between your arrival and departure. We got stuck in LA for 6 hours because of our return lay-over was two hours, with baggage claim and US Customs we spent ove three hours in various lines to check our Passport and baggage.

    Enjoy....

  2. You're going international and will need to show your passport or depending on the airport, two pieces of id, drivers license and birth certificate. Don't forget it or you won't be going to Cancun.

  3. International, because your final destination is Cancun.

If you are flying the same airlines you want to make sure your luggage arrives in Cancun NOT left in Miami. Just make sure you have in your carryon extra change of clothes and your bathing suit.

Coming back you will have to retrieve your luggage, go through customs and immigration in Miami. But once you get to Washington, just get your luggage and you're on your way home.

    Have a great trip.)
