  1. I would consider getting there AT LEAST 2 hours early.  Three hours might be better.  You will probably spend most of your time waiting, so bring a book, magazine, etc.  But better safe than sorry.  How many flights to to El Salvador each day?

  2. They usually say three hours, but nowdays it depends on which airport you are flying through. Nowadays, you need to take the TSA screenings into consideration too. For example at Atlanta you need to go in at least 3.5 hours earlier. At JFK, things are more efficient, and 2.5 hours is good. At Miami, 4 hours is good.

  3. ALWAYS arrive 2-3 hours early on ANY type of flight. So arrive like at 12 pm.  Have a fun time in El Salvador.

  4. depending on the carrier your flying with and where your coming from  . For example, I'm leaving to Argentina in a week , and  im traveling with American airlines &  it says on the day of your flight you should arrive 3 hours prior and im going to JFK so there's always traffic from NJ to NY  . i would recommend three hours  just in case you hit traffic plus it gives you time to check your bags , get everything done with time so you are more relaxed for your flight  & alive being rushed.

    hope this helps !

  5. Before 9/11, it was recomended 3 hrs for international (according to the spiel played at LAX). But now, I would say at least 3 to 3 1/2 hrs, Especially if you have never flown internationally or  been to this particular airport beofe. 2 hrs is probably not a good Idea. I always do 2 for domestic, and God only knows how long the security line is or what the TSA will try to take away from you.
