I am flying out from IAH to PHL on US Airways. Any comments on the airline?

I am flying out from IAH to PHL on US Airways. Any comments on the airline?

They are terrible but your experience may differ.  I can't believe you could not get a seat on Continental from IAH.  There is no comparison between the two.

Well personally I work for US Airways so my opinion may be a little biased... For the most part all airlines are the same... Theyre all serving a basic function and doing it in the most cost effective way.  Yes US Airways has stopped serving free snacks.  Did you really want a 5 cent bag of pretzels anyway? Non-alcohlic drinks are still on the house... or more so the plane in this situation...  In my opinion its better than paying 25 dollars to check your first bag like United is doing.  Also US Aiways does not make you pay for pre assigned seating (unless you want a VIP seat for 5 dollars).  Us Airways continues to have great customer service and tries its very best to accomodate passengers at the lowest possible price.  Hence why our stock is LCC for low cost carrier.  Within the last year US Airways has consistantly every month been in the top 5 for best customer service, highest on time performance, and for lowest missed bag ratio.  As with anything or any business its not going to be perfect 100 percent of the time. People do make mistakes.  However, we strive very hard to make our customers proud.  I'm proud of where I work.  US Airways is a great company.  I have alot of pride in that.

It is not that great of an airline.  High rate of baggage mishandling and they are the first airline to stop serving free snacks on flights.  I recommend you bring your own food on-board or eat before the flight.
