  1. Delta only has the TV screen on the back seats of its 777 aircraft.  Flying to Chicago would be smaller aircraft which have no seats.  The airline will not serve food except for maybe some pretzels and a drink.

  2. It really depends on the length of your flight. Most continental (flights within the lower 48) will have just snacks (peanuts, biscotti biscuits, soda) but can provide you with a small meal if you ask.

I recommend you bring your own food as it is cheaper, and usually better tasting.

As far as televisions go...that depends on the plane.

Some planes do have the little televisions on each seat, but they don't always allow you to watch regular tv (I've never been able to do this in flight) and sometimes they don't play a movie either.

Many times it is just advertisements on the tv if it's even on.

Bring a good book for entertainment or a portable dvd player.

  3. I think you might be confused with Jetblue.  Delta doesn't have Direct TV, but they might have screens at every seat.  Whether they show a movie or not depends on the length of your flight.  If you would like to make sure you have some form of entertainment while inflight, might I suggest carrying along your own portable DVD player.  If you don't have one, you can rent one at the airport from a company called InMotion Entertainment and rent a movie while you're at it.  You can return it on your trip back from Chicago, or if you're travelling one way, drop it off at the location in the Chicago airport.

  4. Delta doesn't have behind the seat TVs...Thats JetBlue. Their food is okay...They usually only serve food on long flights though.

  5. Folks, some of the Delta aircraft does have the behind the seats tv screens. Check the equipment being used for your flights (it will vary by the date of the flight some times) and see if that equipment has those amenities.

As far as food goes, unless you are flying in first class you won't be getting much food. A snack type pack - crackers, cheese, a cookie and some peanutes. Take food on board with you.

  6. The plane I was on they did have behind tv's on the seats.

  7. um...helll noo..

They have burgers and soda... but no tv...

  8. I just flew from D.C. to Det. and they don't even offer drinks anymore.  They will get you a glass of water on request.  Delta used to have the best bescoti but now they are getting cheap.  Allot depends on the length of your flight.

  9. I've never heard of them having back seat TV's no. Food is ok I guess but no back seat tv's. Usually overhead ones that everyone watches.

  10. Call Delta about the TV and what kind of food they serve.  Probably just snacks.  You can buy something at the airport and take it on with you.  You have to be beyond the security check-in though.  Food and drink can't be taken beyond that point.
