Virgin Blue has just started the US run perhaps they are offering specials. Singapore Airlines is also inexpensive but not sure if they travel US.These are reputable Airlines as is a long flight and comfort counts.Try your local Travel Agent for the best deals and comfort ie leg room.Welcome to Aussie.

Qantas and Air Canada are the only airlines that does a non stop flight, but it is out of Vancouver rather than the USA, and goes to Sydney.

As it's non stop and uses the great circle route it will be cheaper and shorter to fly, but I don't know if they pass on those savings to their customers.

i wouldnt try and book your own flight if i were you... your best bet on a cheap flight would be to go through a travel agent because they usually get alot of good deals through the airlines, esp if they have been doing it for a long time. But if you do choose to book your own flight, then atleast call a travel agent, cuz they can give you alot of good tips

depends on where from the us ur flying from! well i take air new zealand. i start in sydney. stop at new zealand to change flights (approx.2-3 hrs). then i go 2 LAX viz air new zealand (12 hrs approx.)! air new zeland has the BEST service eva!!!!!!!!!
