  1. You can come cook for me! I love Indian food! Ever since going to India and coming back, I can't seem to get rid of the cravings!

    :D

But seriously, there are tons of Indian restaurants here.  Mainly in the big cities.  Come and open up your own restaurant.  Work for one of them.  Or interview with different international cuisine type places and see if you can introduce Indian cuisine to their menu.

Do major research. Make sure you have a back up.  Get a job doing something you know until you get to know the area you plan to move to and get to know the people around.  Take note of their response when you bring up your plan.

But don't be discouraged from coming.  Yeah, our economy sucks and seems to be going down hill.  However, having been to India...and seeing what I've seen...India is beautiful, but I believe you would prosper much more here then you probably would there.  And if that sounds critical or prejudice in anyway, I apologize. For that is not my intention. I loved India (Can I say that enough???) and long to go back one day!

    Good luck!

  2. Not much.  These jobs would not pay well.

Get education in computing, data entry etc and you'll be better off.  Good pay and high demand for skilled workers.

Serving tables at a restaraunt will earn more money than cooking in the US.  A lot more.

BTW, Texan GRL, notice how us Texans have much more hospitality than the other commenters?  Yee-haw!  Come on over.

  3. No your not wanted.

  4. not really - unless u know some indians running an indian restaurant.

  5. sure...no problem with that.thy love spicy foods. like i do too. I'm a Filipino and stayed in the US for  quite a while tasted the Indian cooking and I loved it.

  6. Hi…

    You are more than welcome…

American people love to try different food options, and Indian food is really good… but please make it less hot – fire- …lol

Yes you can… America was build on offering people chances to be creative.

Try the west coast… most likely you will make it good here.

    Good luck

  7. You could give it a try. Indian food is becoming very popular. But Scope is limited.

    to the TWO TEXANS:

Always thought Tx was more accomodating.

  8. hi shilpy. I married an indian and he moved to uk england, he was a chef in goa, but orriginated from mysore. since moving to uk.. he has always had work in restaurants{indian}. most of  the employers usually have staff accomadation.. he can flit from job to job, if he wishes, they are always looking for good indian chef. because he is a qualified indian chef  his basic take home pay can be more then an english chef. but i think you will need more than a course in indian cuisine, you need to do a 12/16 hour shift in hard graft.  but hey. start low. veg chopping and work your way up.

  9. Hmm well im not quite sure but im sure you could give it a shot. Remember never give up!

  10. Our economy is tanking. I wouldn't bank on any kind of job here.
