  3. As you are at the beginning of your life in NJ,just try to organize your income till youll be enough flexible to preview your spendings in future.Starting can be bit hard for you for a while but after you will be used with the new life style you will be able also to create your account,to grow up your work results.I wish you best of luck!!!

  4. no, stay where you are

  5. in MOST parts of NJ, it is lower middle class. New Jersey is a rather expensive place to live and 60K doesn't go very far.

I thought the US was outsourcing all its jobs TO India, not snagging folks out of there.

  6. Can't you get a job here in India for the same salary?

  7. I live in Boston and almost get what you are paid. I had my Wife and Kid with me. I was able to Manage. I guess NJ expenses will also be similar to Boston. So if you are a Bachelor and going to stay with someone you might save quite a bit. If you are family and going to rent a apartment still you can save few hundred dollars every month. Initially the expenditure will be more. All the best.

  8. is nj new jersy? i dont understand what nj is?

  9. no, too less money, depends on how far you go and how much food you eat, and rental price

  10. Dollars 60,000/- per year is okey for moderate living for a family of two in New Jersey

  11. Hi,

New jersey is expensive, but i know people who are staying there on as much salary as your's and with families, though i don't think you'll be able to save much with this pay.

Try to find out what you will get in hand after taxes, whether this is the money you will get in hand or it is CTC which included other benefits as well.

Once you have the exact amount that you'll get per month, see what the monthly expenses will be,  In any place in USA major part of salary will go to the apartment rent. Check out sites like www.rent.com where you can get an idea of what you'll be spending on rent. (Ask your employer about the exact location so that you can check this.)

Add expenses for Groceries, auto insurance, medical insurance, commute etc and you'll know if the salary in enough!

If you are coming to the USA for the first time, I would suggest to come alone, stay with a roommate or as a paying guest which will save you some money as expenses will be shared.

Stay for 4-5 months, and see how you manage with this income.

After that you'll be in a better position to bring your family. Because before ur family comes you'll be need a car, rental apartment, setup your house get essential furniture, kitchen stuff etc.

Try to find any indian contact person in NJ, who can give you much clear idea of the expenses and shared accomodation etc.

There are LOT of indians staying there, so if you ask around a bit you'll surely find someone who can help you out.
