I am from philippines and i have a student visa for 2 years,can i break my contract as student for 1 year?

  1. Colleges are now supposed to report it to the Immigration office if students use enrolment on their courses to get a visa and then leave their courses. You would have no right to a student visa if you are not studying for so long, and eventually the authorities would catch up with you. But if there is eg a medical reason, and you get a temporary suspension for one year, that might be different. Isn't there a department of the College which could help you with information? Or the Students Union? And there's an organisation called "Immigration Advisory Service" who could explain. In fact, they probably have all the info on their website www.iasuk.org
