I am from the UK, and 29 years old. How can I get a job in Mexico City or Guadalajara?

I have previously lived in Mexico City for 7 months, but I didn't really work much, only sometimes teaching English. I would love to return to Mexico, but only if I could find something that pays ok and is very interesting. I have experience in Television research, production, and photography. I have a degree in Media Arts.

I would also like to try Catsting work, and modelling. This means I would like work on both sides, on the Casting agency team or someone being casted. I speak basic spanish, but I am trying to learn more everyday.

You may find it difficult to secure employment in Mexico unless you already have some very good connections. My understanding is that Mexican immigration law essentially makes it difficult for foreigners to work in the country legally unless they have a very particular skill that few of Mexico's own citizens are likely to have. My guess is that most foreigners who work in Mexico are either teaching english because they are native speakers of the language, or else they were sent to work there by a multinational company by which they were already employed before being sent abroad. It sounds like you are rather specific about which line of work you want to be in, which does narrow down your job search but also may quite contrain your employment options. Furthermore, if you are going to work in any type of mass media job in Mexico I would assume you would need to be quite fluent in Spanish. Perhaps you should try to get in contact with someone who works for a television network such as Televisa or TV Azteca to get some better advice.

It sounds like you have a doube challenge ahead of you: finding work in casting is probably difficult in and of itself, and this is merely compounded by looking in another country.
