  1. If you don't pay the New Zealand authorities could prosecute you, but only in NZ. So in practice, you wont have to pay. However, if you intend to return to NZ then it would be wise to pay, otherwise you could be arrested for non-payment on your return.


  2. If you want to go back to NZ it is best to pay it to avoid any bad outcomes. If you have no intention of returning, don't worry about paying it. They will not extradite you for a traffic offence, nor is the offence extraterritorial (Meaning you can be prosecuted in your country if it's committed overseas) I.e. (Rape, murder etc). Keep it as a momento in your photo album, lol.

  3. I can't imagine why you wouldn't have to pay the fine.  You were speeding, you were caught, pay the fine.
