  1. when the pain killers ware off it will be like nailing your testicles to the table good luck.

  2. it wont hurt, it will be a little like crunch and the tooth is out

if it hurts they will freeze your mouth more if you tell them.

  3. My husband had a wisdom tooth pulled.  He said he didn't feel any pain.  A few hours after it started to hurt but the pain meds they gave a script for worked just fine and the next day he just took IBprofen instead.

  4. no it does not its scary at first and quite uncomfortable...during the pulling out but it is not painfull.

afterwards however your mouth and extractions will be very sore

  5. The part when the tooth is actually pulled never bothered me, it was the the Novocaine that I hated. Nothing bothers me more than when they injected the Novocaine because it burns SO bad. But they just kind of twist the tooth and you hear a kind of crack, and it's done.

Although afterwards, if you put ice on your mouth and chin, the numbness goes away, and it dulls the pain.

    Good luck!

    Hope it goes okay!

  6. Hey I have gotten a tooth taken out and was TERRIFIED!

so i'll be honest ( cause noone was to me either lol ) No it does NOT hurt geting taken out, because you had the injection. You can feel them pulling but strangely you cant feel pain, very weird sensation but NOT painful.

The only thing that did hurt me was the injection! I had one injection on either side of the gum, the outer part wasn't to sore, the inner one did hurt me but didn't hurt real bad. Just stung for a few seconds. So don't worry about it, the only thing you feel is the injection and that isn't too bad at all. Good luck hun :)

  7. If it is your wisdom teeth they will hurt the most.  The other teeth will hurt after anesthetic wears off.  The Dentist will presribe pain medication.

  8. No it dosent hurt, dont worry about the pain, havent you got better things to be doing than worrying about the pain weeks in advance.

believe me there is no pain, just relax

  9. Yer wen they start twisting! only jokin- ur bound to feel sumthing but think its worth it in the end!

  10. I had a tooth out this morning and the most painful part was the injection itself!  After that, you can't feel any pain.  When the tooth was pulled out, i felt the dentist pulling but there was no pain at all.  My tooth wouldn't come out at first, so I got another round of drilling and pulling, but still no pain.  It was more that I could feel my jaw being pulled to the side when he was pulling at the tooth.

Don't worry, it was my first tooth out and I didn't know what to expect but it seriously was fine.

  11. It will probably hurt a bit at first and be sore after, but the anesthetic will definitely help and relax it.

  12. No. It will not hurt that bad. U may feel like u r being pinched a little in the gum. I'd say the worst part is the feeling u have for the rest of the day in your mouth it don't hurt that bad though.

  13. if they put the injection at the top of the mouth it will hurt a bit and make ure eyes water but if they do it at the bottom it wont hurt

    and ask for numbing cream

  14. There will be some pain and discomfort, but talk to your dentist beforehand. The dentist will know what to do to subdue/control the pain.

  15. I've had 4 teeth out and it's not that bad. The injections hurt a tiny bit, but not a lot. You can't even feel them pulling the tooth out, because your mouth is all numb. When the anestetic wears off, your gum is a bit sore but it's not that bad. Honestly dude, don't be scared becuase it hardly hurts at all.

    Good luck =)

  16. Don't worry about it. I had 5 teeth pulled and all they do is put a topical anesthetic on it then give you some injections to deaden the nerve. So you literally don't feel anything at all. It just SOUNDS weird when they pull the tooth out lol. But it doesn't hurt at all.

Afterwards, you will be numb for a few hours so bring a towel so you don't drool all over yourself lol. Then after the numbness wears off you might have a bit of swelling and discomfort but nothing major. Just have an icepack and a few Tylenol and you should be good to go.

    Good luck!

  17. I was kind of worried to when I had to have some milk teeth taken out but I can honestly say it wasn't half as painful as I thought it would be.  It's over really quick and after the anesthetic you can't really feel a thing.  The only pain really is the needle but it's really minor.

  18. Well it will hurt a bit but the rest of us have survived it many times. You recover faster with local injections rather than going flat out. It depends too on where the teeth are. Can be useful to dig your nails into the palm of your hands as it takes the focus to that part of your body.

    You will be fine.

  19. I split one of my teeth in half and I couldn't wait to get it pulled. I wont say it's fun as it's not and that was the first and last time for me and I hope your the same.

  20. I agree with others the needle is worse than the extraction. You only imagine you can feel it because you can hear it and feel the movement. I had 4 wisdoms taken out under general, and my experience was I couldn't eat any solid food for 2 weeks, even lumps of carrot in soup. I couldn't talk and my face was massive. I couldn't leave the house. Apparently arnica helps with the swelling, although I heard that too late so I don't know. A great tool I used to be able to sleep was a tampon stuck down either side of my teeth to wedge my mouth open and soak up the blood and saliva, as I couldn't close my mouth without biting my tongue and cheeks. Also a frozen face flannel on my face. It was pretty bad, but more inconvenient than painful. I wish you all the best. Good Luck!

  21. silly billie yes it will hurt but not at the time just later when the anaesthetic wears of but then you can take some pain killers and at least you know it will be a lot easier in the morning

  22. From experience I think the most excruciating part will be getting the shot in the gum (it hurts like h**l) and you wouldn't feel any pain when your teeth are being removed.....until afterward when you wake up

  23. I have had one tooth out and to be honest, it didn't hurt at all.  I had plenty of local anesthetic.  I asked the dentist to talk me through every stage which he kindly did.  That way, there were no nasty shocks as I knew what was happening.  Basically, the put there plyers on the tooth, twist it from side to side and then one tug and it's out.  Afterwards, there may be some small bleeding for a very short while and then it's back to normal.  I was told some horror stories by some of my so called friends - like the dentist having to sit on your chest pulling hard at your tooth but it was nothing like that and I worried over absolutely nothing.

  24. Hey, i have like this massive phobia with needles i cant stand them at all. I am 14 i had to have a baby tooth took out not so long ago, all of my friends told me it would kill great friends :[  i was just given an anaesthetic straight into my gum that hurt a tiny bit it was only in for 5 seconds my advise is to close your eyes and count to 10. Then they will wait for a few minutes until your gum goes completely numb. Then they will start to pull at your tooth you cannot feel this at all trust me you wont even know when its been took out. It doesn't hurt at all so there's nothing at all to worry about trust me, if its a big tooth then i think it will make a big difference in the pain. I hope this has helped let me know, best wishes Natalie :] x
