  1. You could check the kelley blue book for how much a used car is worth.  Also, you could contact a VW dealer to see how much a new one would cost. Or even a certified used one. You could also check with carfacts.com, or maybe it's spelled carfax.  Not sure.  ( To see if it was in any accidents, etc.)

What condition is it in?  It seems to me that 65K miles is a lot for two-three years old.  The owner must have done a lot of driving.  Find out if he/she was using the car in the city or highway.  Find out how the owner maintained the  car.  Did they get the oil changed at regular intervals, etc  Does the car need a time belt change?  things like that.  YOu can call a VW dealer and find out when that car needs the scheduled maintenance and see if the owner was responsible in that regard.  Is the body in good shape?  Do you drive a lot?  Because you may end up with a car with way too many miles on it after a short time.  I hope I've helped you a bit.

  2. that my friend. is not a great deal.

the price is a little steep.

  3. I'd say it might be sligtly high, but VW's are generally expensive. It's probably worth it if its got a full tank of gas, great condition and fully loaded.

  4. no, that's a bit much

  5. It's an alright deal, is it a convertable? If it isn't it's a little high. My aunt bought a 2004 beetle with about 20,000 miles on it for $12,000 at the local VW dealership. You should check carmax.com, or cars.com, to check other prices in your area. Also check ebay, the have 2006 Beetles for $15,000 with less miles on it!!!!! Just look around.

  6. That's about 36,000 more miles than you would expect to see on a 2 year old vehicle.

It's worth $11 grand, not almost $16 grand.  Pass on it.

  7. thats a horrible deal. thats alot of miles for a car that may  be barely 2 years old.

how was it maintained? VW are very expensive to maintain.

I would seriously recommend you look elsewhere because this company sounds like they are taking you for a ride.

you can go to kelly blue book website@ kbb.com and get the TRUE value for this yuppie little car
