  1. one of the best review to is http://www.steves-digicams.com/best_came...

and one of the best place to buy cheap and trustworthy

    pricegrabber.com. check seller rating.

i like this camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ4  with 10x zoom

and 64-6400 iso almost no light capability.

  2. If you purchase a $5000 camera, and you move or subject moves and you may have shutter speed at only 1/60 or 1/125......guess what? A blurry photo with expensive camera. Read up on photography (basics), and you'll find that a $180-$225 camera can make great photos. AND don't get on the megapixel bandwagon. The more megapixels does not guarantee you a better image.

  3. Canon Sure Shot--I believe that this is a point and shoot--no expertise needed and excellent quality from Canon.

  4. I've always loved Nikon.I travel all the time and I am very pleased with my Nikon D300 =]

  5. Should always state your budget.

  6. Umm.... I have to point this out, but it's not the camera that takes the pictures, its the photographer that takes the pictures. I would say a good picture is equated to 95% photographer, and 5% camera. Anyways, I don't mind people upgrading their gear. It's just that some people expect miracles to happen after they do so.

Anyways, research the camera database on www.dpreview.com and see which ones fit your needs.
