  1. grass is the best for guinea pigs.aim to have a diet of about 85 percent of grass.if u dont hav easy access to fresh grass buy hay.but not jst any hay.should be timothy hay.then veggies and pellets should be the least fed food but its still good.

if ur only gettin on guinea pig u must hav lots of spare time to spend wuth it.else they get lonely and depresssed and sick...u get the idea.

cages.....um just make sure your protecting it from the weather and that its reasonable easy to clean.

  2. think twice.. they take a lot of looking after if you do it properly.

go on youtube and type in guinea pigs and see how other good owners keep their pets.

usually, you should get two guinea pigs (girls) so they keep each other company. they are very social animals.

what else can i say... all the info is on the net, just look in google.

    for diet etc

and try C&C cages for your pets cage. they need room to run around.

  3. Heres a site with all the information on what your asking

    http://sites.google.com/site/guineapigsf...

  4. Food: Pellets, Water, Timothy Hay, Alfalfa cubes, veggies (carrots, kale, etc), and some  fruits (as a treat). Guinea pigs need vitamin C, so buy the drops and feed it to him/her every day,

Cage: Don't get a cage with wire on the bottom... it will hurt the guinea pig's feet. Get a roomy cage so that the guinea pig can run around for excersize. Get recycled bedding (rough bedding like cedar shavings will hurt their paws). Make sure you buy a water bottle, food holder (preferably not a bowl, because it can tip over), toys (bells and wooden blocks), and an igloo-like home. They love dark, small areas to hide in, too! Make sure you clean the cage once a week.

Care: Spend at least an hour with your guinea pig every day. Guinea pigs need a lot of love and attention. They are shy and afraid of everything. Be careful with the guinea pig. I don't recommend picking him/her up for at least a week. Eventually he/she will get used to you, and will be very loving. For example, every day when my guinea pig hears my door (yes, he knows which door is mine!), he begins squeaking for me! Also, if he is ever afraid, he runs to me and curls against my leg. Whenever I'm around, he purrs and popcorns (it looks like they are having a seizure... lol... but it just means that they are happy).

I hope that this helps you!
