  1. Your not suppose to keep rabbits and guinea pigs together, however I do I have a lilac curly rex rabbit who is about 4 years old and female and a long haired guinea pig who is about 8 years old who's a male. They both live happily together.

  2. Yes that fine dont worry as long as they are girls :D

Dont listen to Law L that is a load of **** ko but seriously :D

Check out this site you should find more inforation here :D

  3. I would say a neutered female with a neutered male would be better match . Just watch your rabbit with your guinea pig because they can do serious damage if they want to. Suddenly rabbits can turn on something they have got along with for ages ( happened to me ) but neutering and spaying will probably help

    hope this helps

  4. You can't house rabbits and guinea pigs togeher http://guineapigcages.com/rabbits.htm

  5. DON'T have guinea pigs and rabbits living together.

This can cause serious injures and health problems that can be quickly fatal, especially to guinea pigs.

Please read this for more details-

  6. I dont think it really matters to be honest but im not an expert.

  7. one boy and one girl spayed and neutered. if same gender they might fight.and same breed in one cage.hope that helps.

  8. pet shops should advise you not to keep rabbits and guinea pigs together, as will many good books. it's a common misconception, but a very bad idea.

most animals should be kept in pairs, i'd advise you to get two mammals of the same species, either s*x.

  9. Well if your getting a girl guinea pig that would bebetter if you had girl guinea pigs all your life not sure about a rabbit I only had a boy one so i'm not so sure and plus boy ones jump a lot.

  10. You should never keep a rabbit and a guinea pig together, a rabbit has very powerful back legs a strong kick and could easily break bones in the guinea pig or even kill it.

Rabbits and guinea pigs also both require different diets.

  11. I had a guinea pig and a rabbit together and they were fine! And they were both boys : ), They should be fine together : )

  12. Everyone assumes because they see some pet stores have rabbits and guinea pigs together they are safe to leave that way.........it's not!!!!!!!  everyone assumes rabbits or other caged pets wants a buddy....not always true!!!!!!!  If you have plenty of time to spend with the pet....it doesn't need a buddy if it has you.  My female and boy rabbit are not in the same cage or room.  My female is fixed, but almost died getting her fixed.  They can bite the stitches-which she did and their guts can fall out....I caught her in time and got her to the vet.  We tried the cone thing, but, it was so big on her...she had to be put back under and staples put in.  Although I watched her like a hawk if she didn't have this custom made e-collar-cone on her neck...when I took her to get the staples out 3 weeks later, she only had a few left.  They tell you getting a rabbit fixed is a must even if you don't get a boy to put in with her for health issues...what they don't tell you is...the surgery is extremely hard on a female and they can die....during and after.  Mine almost did.  The gas is very hard on them...it's not like a dog and a cat, a rabbit is more fragile.  Good luck!!!!!!

  13. Guinea pigs and rabbits should never be housed together... it can cause all sorts of problems, rabbits can bully the piggies and also there's a huge danger of cross contamination/disease.

  14. ummmm

it doent really matter but if they are goin to be neautered then just get lik a boy and a girl or both girls

oh yea dont put then in the same cage cause theyll probably kill each other

  15. i think that getting both girls would be best

  16. It's not best, its doesn't really matter, but if the rabbit is male don't put it with the guinea pig at ALL until it's been neutered cos sometimes they can hurt them if they decide the guinea pig smells good. be careful they don't fight...

    Have fun they're so cute!!!!xx

  17. We had a rabbit rescue years ago and I have also housed Piggy's and rabbits together with no problem.  During breeding season though I had trouble with any bucks that were housed together, I am guessing that neutering them would make that issue go away though.  Only one time in all those years did I have trouble with does being housed together and that was just because I had one doe that was very dominant and fought with all the others.  I never had trouble with any of my piggy's housed together though.  This is just my experience and not a fact really though.  Maybe you might want to google it or talk to some pet experts.  Good luck!!

  18. DONT have a rabbit living with a guinea pig all it takes is one kick from a rabit and the pig could be dead its best to  keep to the same species
