Im heading to Europe in 9 days and I need to make sure I have a seat on a train.

I am in the process of ordering a global pass, and need some help with reserving a seat. I don't want to purchase a ticket just reserve. Can I do this online?

France - Amsterdam is the route.

  1. They told us (when I worked as a TWA International Reservations agent),  call Eurail directly, mark down the persons name and location you speak to.  The travel world changes by the hour due to last minute problems.  (A poor example: a older person who speaks only one language/his is sitting in your seat and won't move and even starts yelling something when the conductor tries to correct the situation).

Rather than delay the trip, they'll ask "you" to help out and re-locate.

You may even have to ride in the Mail Car for  a bit.

Try to get Eurail to email you a "letter of confermation", which just MAYBE the answer your looking for.   But... keep in mind my little story:  One of the job's I had with TWA was to take some flights 200+ seats over capacity because certain flights had a history of 200+ people reserving a seat, BUT NOT SHOWING UP AT THE AIRPORT ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP !!!  Overbooking flights, trains, buss', boat's, or any other mode of travel is a common event  in the travel world.  "You have to look-out for the Company first, or someday go out of business"  That's the game.  TWA thought they were in good shape until Uncle Carl came long.

Me and many other 25+ years employee's got layed off during those last few days of h**l.

Sorry to drag you thru my sad story, but, if I help just "1" person in life with their travel plans, then I've returned the favour someone blessed me with when I was on the road to life.

The numbers say, "something" during your trip is really going set you back.  But, that's Okay... "all persons who travel the world, eventually get in a mess or two somewhere or sometime... along the way."  See,  this way you'll have something to talk about when you get back.
