I am getting an error, E-02, on my Kenwood amp and can not figure out what to do to fix it. Help?

As I turn my car on, my subwoofers, DUAL, make a noise and then go off. I look at my amplifier, Kenwood, and it has a blinking message: "E-02." Now I looked in my manual and I just don't understand what it is stating. It says to turn the power off (to my car, or amp, or what?) and release the protection (...what?). I don't a whole lot about this so I figured I'd go to the good ole Yahoo and see if some nice people could put this into words I can understand. Please?

P.S., if it means my subs are blown, which I find hard since I made sure I bought an amp to make them not blow, put it in a good way.

Thanks in advance!

  1. I dont know what E-02 means but I think the manual is telling you let the amp reset itself. Turning off the car should work but you might have to disconnect it from the battery then reconnect it. I really doubt that your subs are blown. They wouldn't be making any sound at all if they were.

Try both those things and see if they work if not I'm not sure what to do.
