I am getting html tags in my posts to my group. Why?

when I make a post to a group (through my email) the post has the html tags displayed. How do I get this to stop?

Some e-mail programs automatically encode outgoing e-mails with HTML to make them look nicer to other e-mail programs that understand HTML.  Unfortunately, this displays as HTML codes with the original message 'hidden' in the middle when an e-mail program doesn't understand HTML (as you've noticed).

The way to stop this automatic HTML encoding depends on which e-mail program you are using.  About the only general thing I can say is you need to get into the Settings (sometimes called Options or Preferences) of your e-mail program; if you search around in there, hopefully there's a setting you can change about this automatic HTML encoding.
