  1. I work at the Olive Garden and got hired on the spot.  They really like people who are energetic and outgoing and have a good head on there shoulders and who can be a strong team player.  Questions could be

    why did you leave your old job?

    what sort of experience do you have?

    how are you in a leadership position?

    how would you deal with a rude customer?

    are you willing to learn and work hard?

    -what would your last employer say about you?

    -do you work better alone or in a group?

    -what is your strength/weakness?

    -what can you bring to the restaurant?

    -have you ever had a conflict with a coworker? how did you resolve it?

    -when can you start?

    -what is your availability like?

    -do you have any experience working in restaurants?

    -where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

    -what would you do if you knew another employee was stealing from the company?

    -what would you do if there was a line at the door, the phone was ringing and your boss wanted you to get something for a table?

    -tell me about yourself?

    -what would you do if one of the customers was angry because their order was incorrect and they were beginning to raise their voice in the middle of the restaurant?

  3. I work at a restaurant chain similar to Olive Garden and they asked me a lot about my past jobs and what kind of interactions I've had with people. The one thing they focused a lot on was "merchandising" a menu item (using descriptive words to sell it) and making it sound as appealing as possible.
