  1. Have you thought about the flowers? That helps i want my flowers to be yellow and i want them to be tulips so i would wrap a turquoise ribbon around after i glue them together. I don't know much but maybe have purple vases with green pebbles and the flowers with small candles about the size of a shot glass going around but the glass can be purple then green purple then green so on and so forth. and for the table cloths one can be purple and one can be green and arrange them to where the purple don't collide with purple and green with green. And the table cloth doesn't have to be all purple it can be a smaller table cloth on top of a white one. And if a green table cloth is on one table then one that table you can put the silverware wrapped in a purple napkin with a green wrap around the napkin. I have a lot of Ideas if your really want more message me at forever_gods_princess@yahoo.com, I know it wasn't very good but i tried. Hope this Helps. ;) Smiley

  2. you can do all your flowers in purple and green...like this

    http://www.teleflora.com/hydrangea-orchi...

ask your florist to find you combos like this...

also, you can coordinate all the linens and tablecloths like that too...just keep it light, soothing pastels, or it might look tacky...

    Congrats!!

  4. Just make an enchanted garden theme with elegant green foliage and purple (and accent color like pale yellow) flower blossoms, order a few butterflies (live or fake), rent a water fountain...you get the idea...

Or go elegant with grapes.  Do huge arrangements of your flowers with green and purple grapes cascading from your arrangements

  5. purple and green?  wow, are you having a ninja turtle wedding?  are your guests coming in costume?  Sounds very eerie and spookie to me.  How about a one eyed purple people eater?

  6. Our theme was purple and green as well. At the ceremony, outdoors, we had purple fabric lining the chairs along the aisle and above our heads on the gazebo.

Inside, for the reception, we had purple tablecloths laid over white. We brought the green in with the flowers, they were very wild greenery type of flowers in beautiful silver vases. Also, our favors added a lot to the colors, we made votive holders with colored choclate wrapped in purple tulle and tied with a green ribbon.

Just do what you like. You'll come up with ideas the more you search through wedding magazines and websites. Good luck! Congrats!

  7. My colors were purple and green as well. Celery green and shades of purple to be precise. For the centerpieces I had a large 'champagne' glass filled with water and oil with a floating wickless candle. around the bottom of the glass was potted flowers in purples and white that also served as the favors for the guests. White linens with alternating green and purple napkins. I used a lot of ivy throughout the venue as well. I had a harpist playing during the cocktail and dinner hours and she even had a garland on the harp of purple flowers woven in to ivy.

I would add in an accent color - a neutral - to play up the greens and purples. It would depend on what shade of green you are planning to use - silver sage would be an obvious choice for silver; celery green works with ivory or pure white; deeper greens I would use either a warm cream or pale gold.

    Good Luck and Have Fun!

  8. your wedding sounds like mine only with different colors! for one thing buying napkins in your color makes a huge difference in the overall effect and depending on your venue maby purple floating candles in green water would make a romantic effect (tiled mirrors underneath make a dramatic impact) or beta fish are green and purplish. or even green and purple tile withe white lights! there are lots and lots of options I am getting married in a week and if you want my e-mail is waym7572@yahoo and I can e-mail you some pictures that you can look at for ideas. we are using most of these ideas!

  9. For a greater contrast, reception decoration could be;

green = foliage (flowers, vines, plants, etc)

purple = linens (chair coverings, table cloths, etc)

Silver would be a great accent colour.  Or if you use flowers the heads could be a deep red.

It would help if you could somehow post a swatch of the colours you're picturing.

  10. try googling "inspiration boards: purple and green"

or just google inspiration boards. they have lots of ideas in all colors, and you can just substitute purple and green

    good luck!

  11. I would decorate the indoor reception with as much greenery and flowers as it can handle. It depends on whether the outdoor ceremony is going to be more of a beachy feel or a garden feel as to what greenery I would utilize. For a beach theme - lots of palms and palm fronds, for a garden theme, maybe some ivy. For the flowers - purple orchids for a beach theme, and for a garden theme - purple hyacinth. Use purple in the colored linen napkins and chair ties to help tie in the color scheme. You can also use sheer colored overlays on the tables over the white or ivory colored table linen.

  12. Ninja Turtles action figures would rule. Well since SOME PEOPLE didn't like my first suggestion(a******s) I would like to add the idea of using Easter eggs.

  13. Maybe incorpate firefly decorations. I've seen purple and green firefly decor and it was gorgeous.
