  1. It is a certificate only. In fact when I took the courses the end result was called a CDC for child development certificate.


  2. No it is not a degree of any kind.  It is considered a professional certification.

  3. No, it is a professional credential. It is also not teacher certification. Some community colleges offer courses that lead to a CDA and may offer college credit, and some colleges that issue credits for life experience may give credits for a CDA but that is all on a case by case basis.
