Hi I am going to get my first car and I am needing some suggestions

I can get a $6000 car

I want it to look decent

and it has to be a sedan with good mileage

BMW 3 series from the mid to late 90's. They don't call it the ultimate driving machine for nothing. Just bought a 95 530i and its the best car I've ever driven, but with the 3 series its a little more sporty, has good fuel economy and you can choose either a 2 door or 4 door sedan and has great crash ratings. the 328 is probably your best bet, luxury style and sporty... If Jesus had a car it'd of been a beemer

Australia? 2000 VX Commodore or buy privatel(person to person forget dealership) and get a 2002/03 VY Commodore

America? anything Chevrolet or GM or go euro and get a honda but steer clear from toyota

I've seen a lot of cars for under $6,000.00...you can get Ford Focus, VW Jettas, and you can even find some Nissan Altimas...check out AutoTrader.com and do a search for any sedan and price range....they make it really easy to find a car
