Also, I was wondering if there was an alternative to having lace on the bust of the dress. I don't want it to look plain, but I also eard that it was expensive to have lace put on a dress. Here is a picture of the dress that I want, I will take any recomendations/suggestions!!!! http://www.houseofbrides.com/product.php?productid=26702&cat=1228&page=4 thank you!

  1. 1) that dress .... it's not classy it's not elegant it's tacky and it looks like it's from the 90's i think you should reconsider the dress pattern

    2) tafetta wouldn't work with that dress pattern and tafetta is already a cheap material

    3) cheap lace it worse then no lace at all

i just think you need to reconsider the whole thing basically

EDIT - i just think the dress is ugly and that you will look back at your wedding pictures in 10 years time and go "what was i thinking" ... honestly it's not a costume disney party it's a wedding

  2. Thinking off the top of my head, I would say that satin is probably the next best thing. The only problem, though, may be that it doesn't "shimmer" as much as taffeta.

As for the silk, silk is one of the world's most expensive fibers so it may be difficult to find the cheapest type. Just ask around and see which works for you best. :)

    Happy Marriage! :)
