I am getting new double pane windows for my home. Any suggestions for best value in product and installation?

i live in riverside and i had creative improvements in corona do mine and omg! they did a great job. they sell milgard and certainteed widows,, i really like the milgards because when u shut it it is locked. certainteed widows you physically have to lock them after you shut them. call Kevin and tell him Chris said to call .just get a quote !his number is(951)858-2559 or [phone].also Kevin's price was about the same as home depot,i just paid him to install them.

I just had anew window put in in the front of my house. The window an Anderson was $650.00 ( Home Depot) I got vinyl on the outside wood on the inside . I did not want to have to paint the outside, put the inside comes unfinished . I had to stain and seal to match the existing wood in the room.

  The installation was $1,000.00 Installation will vary on if the window is the same size as the old one, and how complicated the installation gets.

   I did my shopping and this was the best value. I did not like the "replacement windows" . They look like a "replacement window" and since it was on the front I thought it was worth the extra money to keep the front looking its best.

  Pella is a good choice as well .

  But remember a window is only as good as the installation.

I got wood Anderson windows and have been very happy with them.  They look and operate great!  They cost about $500/window.

Anderson has my vote for best value.  If you can, stick with wood instead of vinyl.
