  1. erm better luck this time round ;)

  2. When I remarried, I didn't have to show my divorce decree. It had been more then 6 years since my divorce. Every state differs.

  3. I have the same thing going on, and all I need is the stamped and signed judgement from the judge/court.  Good Luck!!

  4. Of course. Driver's license or other official form of ID with picture.   what else.  look up marriage licenses in the phone book and call them.

  9. I don't know about New York, but you don't need to show the divorce judgment in Washington. Call up the licensing office in the county in which you want to get married and ask them what you need to bring with you.

  10. Short answer is yes, you need the decree that is stamped by the courts where you got your divorce. At least that is how it is in my state.

  11. When I got got the license to get remarried in Louisiana, I had to bring a copy of the first marriage license and the divorce decree.

Call the Clerk of Courts office at your local courthouse to be sure.
