  1. I've had three. The first one was an emergecy not fun. The second I tried to have vag birth but couldn't dilate he was 10lbs 1oz! My third I scheduled it. I got epidurals so it was too bad. I didn't feel anything during. I had pain pills afterwards. The hardest part is doing a BM the first time afterwards. Eat high fibers before you go in it will help. Otherwise not too bad.

  2. I had 2 c-sections. I was fine afterwards not to much pain and I got around just fine. You'll be fine.  Just remember what you are getting out if it.

  3. Since you will be awake throughout the procedure, it isn't too scary. You won't be able to feel any pain, it's more like pressure. The worst part for me was after they had delivered my son, I could hear him crying and I couldn't hold him until they were through stitching me up. It seems like it takes forever from the time you see your little one til the time you are able to hold him/her. After everything was sewn up and we were all back in the room, I wanted to hold my baby but I had the shakes so bad that I was afraid I would drop him. The nurse put him on my chest and the little fella just automatically went for my boob and started his first meal!  I also had a reaction to the meds that made me itch horribly but after a few days, it went away. The first few days are the worse for the cramping and such that help your body get rid of the afterbirth etc. Take your medication on schedule-don't let the pain get too bad-and nurse as much as possible. Drink lots of water. Ice packs help but the real key is to nurse as much as your little one wants because it is nature's way of your body healing itself. If nursing is difficult in the beginning, don't give up-some babies take a little to catch on and some just do it. The next week will be rough-your milk starts to come in and it gets uncomfortable but after @ a week, you'll be used to the sensations.

My firstborn was an emergency c-section and I made my hubby promise to name the baby what I wanted because I "knew" I was gonna die. I didn't, and a few years later, when I found myself pregnant with #2, I knew I would have to have another c-section. Even though I had already been through it, I was scared. It's natural, but remember, the doctors know what they are doing and they will take care of you.  Be sure to follow the after surgery instructions and take it easy until you are well healed. Congratulations on your soon to be bigger family and many blessings.

  4. I too have to have 1 I'm scared too, but I have a couple of friends who have had 1 and they say that it isn't that bad.  Just the after part you are really sore.  My first 1 was vaginal delivery it will be ok though least you won't be in labor for hours that is the 1 thing that has got me happy!!

  5. ugh! i'm with you on this one...my baby was breech at the 29 week appointment...but hopefully she turns by the next one.

    i don't want surgery either!

    good luck!

  6. A c-section sounds a lot scarier than it really is. For doctors it's a quick easy procedure, takes about 20 minutes. The worst part is the first time they make you get up, stand, or walk. All your muscles will be cut right above you pubic hair line, and it takes a while to get those muscles healed. You will be pretty sore the first few days, but by the time you leave the hospital you will already be feeling better. After about 2 weeks, the majority of the soreness is gone.

  7. Surgery itself isn't bad, you won't feel anything but pressure while they are doing it. As long as rest after the surgery and when you are home with the baby then recovery should be fine as well.

  8. having a cesarean isn't that bad than having it naturally.....belive me I had 3 and once they gave me the meds that need to be given while u are gonna go through some kind of procedure like that I felt like I was in heaven feeling no pain when they started to cut me up. I was just listening to the dr and nurses conversation and my husband was just there taking pictures behind me and talking to me. once the baby was out with in 20 minutes me and my husband started to cry.

  9. I had a c section four weeks ago and I have to tell you that it was not nearly as scary as I thought it was gonna be! If its anything like mine then you will be in a room for about an hour where they will just be monitering the baby and taking your blood pressure, ect. your husband or partner will be with you the whole time and my family was allowed to visit as well. When its time they will bring your partner a surgery suit and have you either walk or wheel you to the surgery room...honestly, this is the scariest part. Your partner wont be allowed in until the surgery has begun. It is only scary because of how technical it all is, lol...you know, lots of docors with masks on and stuff. They will then give you your spinal and have you lay down and drape you. They will then wait and make sure your numb and then from that point on it goes VERY quickly...after surgery had begun all I cared about was seeing my baby so I didnt even notice if I was nervous anymore! There will be lots of sucking noises and such but you wont feel anything or see anything at all. In the end it will be all worth it so try and not be too nervous, you will be just fine! Good luck and congrats!! : )
